Welcome to the official website of the Jamestown Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc. 
 
The Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. is an all-volunteer department founded in 1937 located in Northwest Pennsylvania. The dept. covers 56 square miles and a population of 4,400 out of 1 central station.   We are designated as Station 89.
 
Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. Proudly provides Fire, Rescue, & EMS services to the following communities Jamestown Borough & Greene Twp. (Mercer County), and West Shenango & South Shenango Twp’s in Crawford County.

Annual Installation/Recognition Dinner

   On Saturday night January 9, 2010 Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. held our annual Installation/Recognition dinner at the Firemen's Club.  This is a special night that allows all our active and life members and special guests from the community and neighboring fire dept's to get together and honor our own members for their committment and dedication to the Jamestown community.    Fire Chief Mike Cadman presented the Fire Chief's award to Asst. Fire Chief Tom Luckock.  A special service award was also given to Lt. Jim Cyphert for his dedication to serving our country and returning to us this fall from his 3rd tour in Iraq.  EMS Chief Corry Fenton awarded member Tanya Jackson with the EMS Chief's award.  Fire Police Captain Bill Richards also honored Fire Police members Grant Connelly and Mary Valesky with service plaques.   Jamestown Mayor Esther McClimans  did the honors of swearing in the newly elected officers for 2010.

Full Assist to Dept. 17

     In the early morning hours of Saturday January 16, 2009 Station 89 was toned out via Crawford County 911 to assist Dept. 17 with an engine for a Structure Fire.  E89 responded with a crew of 6.   17-9 arrived on scene to find a fully involved structure and requested Station 89 upgrade to a full assist.  E89-2 then responed with a crew of 3.  Upon arrival at the scene the manpower from E89 assisted at the fire scene while E89 & E89-2 then shuttled water to the scene from the water supply.

At 21:17 pm Crawford Co. 911 dispatched 89 for a full assist to Dept. 17 on a structure fire.  E89 and E89-2 responded with 9 firefighters.  Upon arrival the crew from E89 took roof ventalation operations and E89 supplied 17-1 with water.  E89-2 responded to the scene and stoodby.
