Deputy Chief Mike Crotty of the Lawrence Park VFD was killed at the scene of a working commercial fire.  Reports state the Lawrence Park aerial ladder had a catastrophic failure and Deputy Chief Crotty was struck by a falling object.  Mr. Crotty was also a career firefighter for the City of Erie. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the Crotty family, Lawrence Park V.F.D., & The City of Erie F.D.
