Welcome to the official website of the Jamestown Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc. 
The Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. is an all-volunteer department founded in 1937 located in Northwest Pennsylvania. The dept. covers 56 square miles and a population of 4,400 out of 1 central station.   We are designated as Station 89.
Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. Proudly provides Fire, Rescue, & EMS services to the following communities Jamestown Borough & Greene Twp. (Mercer County), and West Shenango & South Shenango Twp’s in Crawford County.

Working House Fire
Location: North Shenango Twp. | Date: 11/23/2014 | Time: 2200

   On the evening of Sunday November 23, 2014 our Department was dispatched to assist North Shenango Fire Dept. "17"  with an Engine for a Structure Fire.  Engine 89 responded with a crew of 4.

1 car MVA with Entrapement
Location: E. Jamestown & Shine Lane (Greene Twp.) | Date: 5/11/2013 | Time: 18:10
Mercer County 911 dispatched Station 89 around 18:10 hrs on the night of Saturday May 11, 2012 for a 1 car MVA with entrapement.  Rescue 89 & Ambulance 89 responded.  Due to being short staffed Chief 89-2 had an Engine dispatched for Station 96 also.  Upon arrival crews foung and SUV on its side  on the side of the Rd with 1 occupant entraped.  Chief 89-2 established E. Jamestown Rd. command.  Crews quickly stabilized the vehicle and began to extricate the patient with thier AMKUS rescue Tools.  Pt was extricated and transported by Ambulance 89 with a LifeForce paramedic on board to a local hospital.  PSP also assisted at the scene.
