Welcome to the official website of the Jamestown Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc. 
The Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. is an all-volunteer department founded in 1937 located in Northwest Pennsylvania. The dept. covers 56 square miles and a population of 4,400 out of 1 central station.   We are designated as Station 89.
Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. Proudly provides Fire, Rescue, & EMS services to the following communities Jamestown Borough & Greene Twp. (Mercer County), and West Shenango & South Shenango Twp’s in Crawford County.

Course Description:

Classroom and practical hands-on training is boat selection, recommended equipment, boat handling, moving-water tactics, and boat-rescue techniques. This course meets or exceeds NFPA 1670 technician level guidelines.



Pre-requisites:                PA Boater Safety Card (May be Obtained Online at the PA                                      

                                           Fish & Boat Commission Website) There is a fee.


Course Dates:                 August 8 & 9, 2015   8:00am till 5:00pm


Course Location:            Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept.

                                           208 Depot St. Jamestown, PA 16134


Course Fee:                      Free         (Lunch will be provided)


Target Audience:            Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, etc.

Cub Scouts Tour the Fire Station

 Members of Jamestown Cub Scouts Pack 53 get a tour of the Fire Station and check out Hovercraft 89.  Asst. Chief Tom Luckock, Captain Jim Cyphert, and Lt. Eric Dell led the way.

Engine 89 NFPA Pump Test

 Engine 89 goes through the required NFPA pump test after the pump received some repairs.

Garage Fire
Location: Westford Rd. | Date: 1/6/2015 | Time: 2000
Report: Crawford County 911 Toned out Jamestown and our First Alarm assignment of North Shenango, Greenville, Conneaut Lake Park & Summit Twp. F.D.'s (RIT) for a garage fire on Tuesday night January 6th.  Engine 89 responded with 3.  Engine 17-2 arrived first to find a full involved garage.  Fallowfield was then requested to respond a tanker to the scene.  The fire was extinguished without incident or injury. 
Working House Fire
Location: North Shenango Twp. | Date: 11/23/2014 | Time: 2200

   On the evening of Sunday November 23, 2014 our Department was dispatched to assist North Shenango Fire Dept. "17"  with an Engine for a Structure Fire.  Engine 89 responded with a crew of 4.
