Welcome to the official website of the Jamestown Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc.

The Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. is an all-volunteer department founded in 1937 located in Northwest Pennsylvania. The dept. covers 56 square miles and a population of 4,400 out of 1 central station. We are designated as Station 89.

Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. Proudly provides Fire, Rescue, & EMS services to the following communities Jamestown Borough & Greene Twp. (Mercer County), and West Shenango & South Shenango Twp’s in Crawford County.

Jamestown Vol. Fire Dept. Relay for Life Team

The Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department Relay for Life Team (HERO'S HELPING HERO'S: JVFD EXTINGUISHING CANCER) is participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life because we want to make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer.

Almost everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through someone they love.

Every day, the American Cancer Society is helping us stay well by preventing cancer or finding it at its earliest, most treatable stages. They assist families in finding the best resources to help their friend or loved one deal with a diagnosis and their journey to get well. The American Cancer Society is also rallying communities (like ours!) through events like Relay For Life, to fight back and find cures for this disease.

Assist to 96 on a WSF

Report:

At 4:20 am on Saturday March 31, 2012 Station 89 was dispatched to assist Station 96 with manpower on a working structure fire. Engine 89 responded. Once on scene crews from E89 assisted opening up the peek of the C side to gain access to the attic area to fire extinguishment.

Residential Structure Fire

Location: 183 Ray Rd. | Date: 2/21/2012 | Time: 17:09

Report:

Just after 5pm on Tuesday night Station 89 was dispatched for a working structure fire on Ray Rd. Also on the 1st alarm assisting was 96 (Greenville), 73 (W. Salem), 17 (N. Shenango), 5 (Conneaut Lake Park RIT). Engine 89 responded with a crew of 6. 911 confirmed it was a working fire and Chief 89 then had the 2nd alam tapped. Engine 89 & Engine 96-2 arrived on scene to find heavy fire conditions on the A/B side of the house. Crews went to work. Also assisting were 75 (Transfer), 33 (Kinsman), 94 (Hempfield), and 45 (Fallowfield).
